Welcome to my World
of
Photography
As I said in
About Me, I have been interested in Photography from a very
early age, setting up a darkroom of my own in a loft at the age of 15.
For my 16th birthday, I asked for a kitchen sink! This I installed in
the loft directly above the bathroom from which I plumbed in running
water. The darkroom I had started as a Paterson Darkroom Kit which
over the next few years I expanded on. The kit was for Black &
White processing and printing which was great fun! I then decided
to turn my hand to colour processing, a mistake which probably led to
it's eventual sale. Colour processing was not cheap but I was glad
I experienced it.
I've used many cameras, mainly compacts until then when my first SLR was
a Zenith. I quickly realised I wanted more and bought a Practika
B100 Electronic and
various lenses and accessories, including Cokin filters. This was
of course a film camera since the digital age was still a long way off.
Then came married life and a family. I eventually traded in my SLR
gear for a family snap-shooter, a
compact film camera. It wasn't
until a good few years later I decided to look again at cameras and
bought my first digital camera, a Sony
Mavica which took 3.5" floppy disks as it's memory storage. It was
great camera which I eventually sold on eEay after a few years of use
and bought a Traveller from Aldi. This was a great 4.1Mp compact
camera but I was soon hungry for more. Thus followed the Fuji
S602z and then the S9500, both with which many a competition winning
photo was taken for various photography forums I was a member of.
Why not browse a few of my photos. More
will be added over time.
