20th Trip
Kendeline Fields Farm, Lutterworth, Leics.
C&CC CS 20th – 23rd October 2008
Kendeline Fields Farm is a lovely C&CC CS
at Claybrooke Parva, Lutterworth, just off the A5 Watling Street between
Hinckley and Lutterworth. It's a 3/4 acre gently sloping site split into
two areas with 7 EHU points. Open all year and great value at £9 per
night.
On arrival, there is a sign by the driveway asking new arrivals to ring
the bell (an old cowbell hung on a hook) or ring a number. The warden
then came out to show us the available pitches and gave us a choice of
two available pitches. There's hardstanding or grass and we choose
hardstanding for this time of year. The warden was very nice and said if
there was anything we needed not to hesitate to ring any time of the day
or night. At the bottom of the field is a gate leading to a lovely
rustic lakes area which is also available for fishing. It was beautiful
to walk round with areas for a picnic too.
The facilities area had a shower, toilet, elsan and drinking water point
which was well lit at night. The driveway and field was also dotted with
solar powered lights which defined the way at night too. This was yet
another site not far from my mum. Although not as close as
Bramcote Mains, it made a nice change
to stay on such a lovely site and cheaper with EHU too. There was a
lovely village shop in nearby Ullesthorpe and several pubs too. This is
one we would definitely use again.
